*** COMPLAINT: WHY DOES MINISYNTH SEEM TO CRASH WHEN RECORDING? ***
*** SOLUTION: PLEASE FOLLOW BELOW INSTRUCTIONS for RECORDING ***

1) Press REC button: the rec led will start BLINKING, announcing that the recorder is "armed", but not yet recording. NOTE: MINISYNTH IS NOT RECORDING WHEN THE RED LED IS BLINKING.

2) Press PLAY button: now the led will turn SOLID, and the actual recording will start

3) When finished, press STOP

4) If you'd like to save your recording, press SAVE; otherwise, your recording will be overwritten, or erased when you exit miniSynth

5) You can play your recording by pressing the play button

In preparation for its 2.0, we took miniSynth on the road with us. After three months of being dropped on the pavement during load-ins, suffering cigarette burns from our deranged guitarist, having most of its buttons picked off by the singer, and being harnessed as a makeshift weapon by the manager when demanding gig money at the end of the night, miniSynth is a new, well-loved, road-hardened creature...kinda like that '52 Tele you see hanging in the display cabinet of your favorite music shop.

Trashing the thing wasn't all we did, of course. We had the tech put in a few improvements. Among other things, miniSynth now has a recording module and some majikgizmo called "octa-meister."

Brought to you by the same team behind Tune-O-Rama, Thereminator, and MegaSynth, miniSynth has sounds and features that rival those of its flesh-and-blood (well....transistor-and-wood) forbears. Just experiment with its two 6-octave oscillators and ultra retro filter to see what we mean: you'll be able to evoke sounds from Classic Rock to Electronica, and from Prog to New Wave just by moving a few sliders, or create unique voices of your own.
