There is currently a bug when running for the first time. If you do not navigate to the Settings menu first, the pong ball will simply slide from side to side in the middle of the court which disables gameplay.
To fix this, navigate to the settings menu and change the settings to whatever you like, and save them.
This is a known bug, and a fix has been submitted urgently and should be out very soon.
